A pedestrian was killed in a crash involving two vehicles early Sunday morning in Beaufort County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 12:05 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 21 and Broad River Boulevard. Authorities report that a 2005 Dodge SUV and a 2011 Jeep SUV were both traveling southbound on U.S. 21 when they struck an individual who was in the roadway.
Both drivers were uninjured and remained at the scene, officials said. The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released by the coroner’s office.
Incidents involving pedestrians can be legally complex, especially when they occur on high-traffic roadways during low-visibility hours. Bringardner Injury Law assists South Carolinians in understanding their rights and options after serious traffic-related events, including those involving pedestrians and multi-vehicle collisions.
