Helping Children throughout South Carolina
When one of the children was just three years old, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. But the entire community is joining in the fight.
The young boy is from Summerville, SC. He likes dinosaurs, superheroes, good food and playing outside with his two older siblings. Thanks to Roc Solid, he has a custom playset to take his mind off cancer and continue to build happy family memories.
The Roc Solid Foundation has installed thousands of playsets for families with children who are fighting cancer. Families can apply to receive a playset, and friends and family may apply on their behalf.
The Roc Solid Foundation also supplies “ready bags” for when families have an unexpected hospital stay. The bags are distributed through hospital partnerships. With toiletries, a blanket, a journal, tablet and more, families have a reminder that they’re not alone as they begin their journey.
About the Roc Solid Foundation
Eric Newman founded the Roc Solid Foundation after surviving liver cancer at the age of three. Although he beat the odds, he lost two cousins to pediatric cancer. With a background in construction, he founded Roc Solid to serve families with similar struggles. The company has grown since its founding in 2009, now serving children nationwide.
